Chiropractic Success Story

My name is Steve Harris. I have lower back problems and hip problems and I’ve been under an orthopedic doctor’s care since I was a teenager. I have problems sitting and standing in certain positions for long periods of time and it’s difficult to run. I’ve tried exercise and core strengthening and it has helped, but I’ve been worried that my nerves would be affected by the scoliosis as I age. I’ve been treated at pain centers five times and I’ve almost had my spine fused.
I met Chiro One at the Will County Fair and I traded a Gideon Bible for a screening. (The screening was free, but I wanted them to have the Bible!) I always thought of chiropractic as “voodoo medicine” but I decided to give it a try. When I went in for my initial exam, the doctor took x-rays to establish a baseline and I saw how much imbalance I had. I’m happy to report that after 12 weeks of care there has been progress. My upper spine and cervical area are improving and I’m in less pain. I can stay in a position longer without being in pain.
Dr. Matt, Dr. Jeremy and Dr. Travis are all great. They’re always available for not only questions, but suggestions, too. And then there’s the encouragement. Dr. Travis recommended that I take magnesium for bouts of cramps with my leg and it is helping. I believe that some things happen for a reason and it is confirmation for what I’m doing. I know I’m in the right place. In the short amount of time I’ve spent here, I’ve learned a lot and I’m looking forward to seeing more results in the future. I’d like to see if I won’t need my meds anymore.
