More About the City of Glenview
The suburban village of Glenview, approximately three miles north of the city limits of Chicago, IL, is the site of a former naval air station that now functions as retail, residential, and green space, and is home to a new Metra commuter station, community center, post office police station, fire station and middle school, as well as a public safety training academy, thanks to the joint efforts of the Village of Glenview and the Illinois EPA. This joint effort was awarded a first annual “National Federal Facility Excellence in Site Reuse” award in May of 2018.
