Dr. Thomas Burlage, D.C., has been a chiropractor for over 20 years. Passionate about patient care, Dr. Tom is proud to serve the greater Madison area as a chiropractic director at both our Chiro One of Madison West and Madison East offices.

Dr. Tom first became interested in chiropractic after he was injured playing football in college at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. Chiropractic care helped him recover and return to the field quicker. After earning his bachelors, Dr. Tom went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. When he came back to civilian life, he continued forward on his chiropractic journey, earning a doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Certified in chiropractic sports medicine, Dr. Tom holds a diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians—one of only a few currently in the Midwest. He is an expert in the field of chiropractic sports medicine as well as concussion diagnosis and treatment protocols. He is proficient in several chiropractic techniques as well, such as Kinesio taping, myofascial therapy including Graston technique, Activator methods, laser therapy, nutrition and rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Tom is active in the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association where he has held a position on the board of directors for many years.

Dr. Tom bases his treatment on four core principles: chiropractic, rehabilitation, nutrition and education. He believes in not only helping patients heal and remain healthy, but giving them the tools to empower themselves as well as others. By incorporating the concepts he’s learned and developed in chiropractic sports medicine, Dr. Tom is able to improve the lives of patients of all ages, including athletes from pre-teen to professional—as well as the general population. He believes there is an athlete in all of us, in one form or another, whether they are involved in athletics at any level, work in an office, construction site, farm or the home.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Tom loves spending time with his wife April, daughter Alyssa and their lab Duke. A true Wisconsinite, Dr. Tom, loves the outdoors, fitness, the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks and of course, the Green Bay Packers.
