A longtime resident of Wisconsin, Dr. Mina Botros, D.C, grew up in the greater Milwaukee area. Not much for playing video games or watching TV, Dr. Mina was always outside after finishing his homework, indulging his childhood curiosity and sense of adventure. Now he lives in Franklin and is thrilled to be helping patients and community members take charge of their own health as our chiropractor of Chiro One of Hales Corners.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in psychology, Dr. Mina decided to move on from his pre-med education path to attend Palmer School of Chiropractic, where he earned his doctorate in chiropractic. While in graduate school, Dr. Mina was a member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, Student American Chiropractic Association, Student California Chiropractic Association, Functional Neurology Club and the Motion Palpitation Club. He specializes in health and nutrition, and is certified in many different techniques.

Dr. Mina always knew it was his calling to help other people reach their goals, largely through health and wellbeing. For him, this initially meant an interest in psychiatry, understanding the human mind, motivation and behaviors. He never could’ve imagined chiropractic being his future. It wasn’t until he’d completed his psychology degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee that his perspective began to change. “I realized that the standard health model is wonderful for treating many severe cases—heart attacks, infections, ruptures and organ failures—but it did a very poor job preventing them in the first place,” he says. “I didn’t like the idea that we are all time bombs doomed to be sick.”

Dr. Mina genuinely believed, and still does, that health isn’t a destination but a journey, and that we can all live a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle if we learn how to prevent instead of “fix.” This realization led him to a decision; he didn’t want to be a doctor that treats the problem after it’s too late. He wanted to be the doctor that detects the root cause of an issue as soon as it manifests, treating it right away. After doing some research, he found chiropractic—a way he could help people feel better, get healthier and find results without drugs or surgery.

In practice, it’s Dr. Mina’s personal mission to be the bridge that brings people from where they are now to where they want to be. “I think that we all need to live a life we are proud of,” he says. “Everyone has a definition of that, and that is what makes this world so beautiful and colorful.” As a healer, he aims to help fuel that beauty and color by making sure his patients feel and function their best. This way, they have nothing holding them back from living their happiest, most authentic lives.

His favorite part of being a chiropractor is that look people get when they have a “light bulb” moment about understanding their own health. He loves seeing them excited about their progress, and he treasures being someone a patient can lean on when they are frustrated by the conventional medicine that has failed them. He adds: “I love feeling like we are a group of super heroes that hide in plain sight, helping people transform their lives and allowing them to do the things they love—from picking up their grandkids to being able to tend to their garden and playing their favorite sport.”

In his free time, Dr. Mina loves camping, hiking, star-gazing and making Italian food. He really enjoys ending a good, productive day playing board games with his friends, having meaningful conversation and sharing a meal together. His favorite quote is “Create the life you dream of,” which for him embodies a message of hope, possibility and faith.
