Dr. Ziad Zayed

Education: National University of Health Sciences

Hometown: Chicago, IL

Dr. Zayed is known as the DC that loves turning “non-believers” into a “believers.” Many of his patients choose chiropractic as a last resort after trying many types of doctors who could not resolve their dysfunction. He assures them that a higher quality of life is possible and revels in the moment when they find pain relief with chiropractic treatment.

A Chicago native and lifelong health promoter, Dr. Zayed decided to become a chiropractor at the young age of seventeen, after losing his father to a massive heart attack caused by a rheumatoid arthritis pharmaceutical. While approved by the FDA, the drug did not have warning labels about its potentially deadly side effects. After suffering with this painful loss, Dr. Zayed vowed to help people heal naturally and avoid unnecessary prescription medications.

Wellness for Dr. Zayed means continually striving for goals despite life’s constant obstacles. He’s inspired by the Jimmy Dean quote: “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” To maintain his own wellness, Dr. Zayed works out at his gym, plays football and basketball, practices martial arts, meditates, plays piano and spends lots of time with his family — especially his godchildren.

Dr. Zayed earned his BS in biomedical science and his Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, where he was a member of the Motion Palpation Club, served as a research assistant on a clinical study, and participated in a randomized controlled pilot study. A certified acupuncturist, he specializes in chiropractic wellness care and the kinesiology technique, RockTape.
