Originally from a small town in Nebraska, Dr. Michelle Mac Nair, D.C., moved across the country to become our associate chiropractor at Chiro One Wellness Center in Schaumburg East. Dr. Michelle has always had a connection to chiropractic; growing up, she watched her mom undergo regular adjustments for hip pain, which taught her the importance of natural and holistic care.
Dr. Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Midland Lutheran College in Nebraska and worked as an accountant for just over a year before she decided to go back to school for chiropractic. After earning a bachelor's in human biology she went on to complete her doctorate of chiropractic at Logan College of Chiropractic, graduating cum laude. Dr. Michelle owned her own practice for almost seven years, where she perfected a wide variety of adjusting techniques like the Thompson, Diversified and Activator. She is certified in the Active Release technique, as well as acupuncture, and is a member of both the American Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractor’s Association.
Dr. Michelle’s personal mission in practice is to help as many people as possible experience and understand more about chiropractic. “I love being able to help improve people's quality of life in so many ways, whether it be reducing pain or improving overall health,” she says, adding, “I love watching people live life to the fullest! I want people to look to chiropractors as their first method of healthcare, not just for pain but for all aspects of health and wellness.”
In her free time, Dr. Michelle enjoys watching or playing any and all sports. She especially has a soft spot for volleyball, both playing and coaching. A music lover, Dr. Michelle enjoys singing and playing the piano with her husband and family.
