Dr. Lacie Drennan, D.C.
  • EDUCATION: Northwestern Health Sciences
  • HOMETOWN: Larrabee, Iowa

Originally from rural Iowa, Dr. Lacie Drennan is now proud to serve patients and community members as chiropractic director of Chiro One Wellness Center of St. Charles.

Dr. Lacie’s relationship with chiropractic began at age 15 after a severe car accident that left her with chronic, debilitating migraines. She found herself missing classes and sporting events, plagued by constant nausea and pain. Like many, she embarked on the all-too-common journey of multiple medications. She even had an MD tell her to avoid dairy, chocolate and gluten and maybe her migraines "might go away" in a few years.

Unwilling to suffer any longer, Dr. Lacie went to a chiropractor. Her life was changed forever, relieving pressure and helping her out of pain. She says, “Chiropractic gave me my life back, and I knew after that first adjustment that I wanted to become a chiropractor to help others, so they never had to suffer like I did.”

After achieving her bachelors at Buena Vista University, Dr. Lacie earned her doctorate of chiropractic at Northwestern Health Sciences University. While in school, not only was she a Dean’s List student, but she was an active member of the Health and Wellness Fitness Club and the Student American Chiropractic Association Sports Council.

After spending a few years post-grad practicing chiropractic in San Diego, Dr. Lacie joined the Chiro One family. In practice, she adores working with athletes, educating patients on improved mobility and function. She’s also a member of the American Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Lacie’s favorite part of being a chiropractor is helping her patients live their best lives. “We only get one life to live,” she says. “I know every patient will benefit from chiropractic, and they don’t have to rely on drugs and surgery.” The joy she experiences when patients tell her chiropractic has changed her life makes it all worth it. In her spare time, Dr. Lacie loves playing volleyball—you can catch her on the court in the winter and in the sand during summer. It’s her number one passion outside of chiropractic, and she also plays in a lot of tournaments.
