Originally from Michigan, Dr. Katie now calls Chicago home. Her favorite part about being a chiropractor is seeing people thrive, she serves patients as the chiropractic director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Palos Heights.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in life science at Logan University, Dr. Katie went on to achieve her doctorate of chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. During her doctoral studies, Dr. Katie was on the Dean’s list and graduated magna cum laude. She was also named in the long-standing honors program, “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges,” and received the “Division of Research Award of Excellence” from Logan College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Katie is certified in the Webster Technique and specializes in preconception, prenatal, neonatal care, early childhood development, nutrition and weight loss. She also belongs to the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
Dr. Katie’s chiropractic journey began after a potentially devastating injury as a young gymnast. After fracturing her back, Dr. Katie turned to chiropractic for help with her recovery, and soon realized that chiropractic was more than just treating low back pain. Her experience led her to devote her life to helping as many people as possible discover chiropractic and its incredible health and healing attributes.Chiropractic was a natural fit for Dr. Katie, as her parents were very health-conscious and holistic and she was raised to believe the body was designed to be healthy.
A humanitarian at heart, Dr. Katie is involved in the All Grace Outreach Charity, where she helps to build orphanages, takes care of the homeless and works to provide better living conditions. She is also involved in The Life on Life Initiative, a program dedicated to helping people gain functional freedom through literacy and other necessary life skills. She also loves fostering stray animals for her local vet’s pet rescue.
In her free time, our Palos Heights chiropractor enjoys a variety of hobbies, including reading, weight training, hiking and martial arts. Dr. Katie is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys cooking, culinary arts, wine tasting and nutrition.
