Dr. John Mischel was born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis. He’s now thrilled to help support and serve patients and community members as chiropractic director of Chiro One of O’Fallon.

For Dr. John, a career dedicated to helping others improve their health was always in the cards. He found himself fascinated by the way different lifestyles affected the aging process and a person’s ability to move and function. He noticed that the people who put their health first and required little to no medication were leading active and fulfilling lives as they aged. This led him to discover chiropractic—a way he could help people live fuller lives through chiropractic care and by sharing the importance of maintaining spinal health and an optimally functioning nervous system.

It’s this passion for helping others that lead him to Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned his bachelor of science in biology, and then to Logan University for a master’s of science in sports science and rehabilitation and his doctorate of chiropractic. As someone with a love of sports, chiropractic allowed Dr. John to start working with professional athletes, aiding with movement, function and rehab. However, his goal was always a family practice—helping folks from all phases of life achieve their true potential.

His favorite part of being a chiropractor is seeing the changes chiropractic can bring to someone’s life. He loves watching people live free of pain and restore normal body function so they can achieve their dreams. It’s his personal mission to share chiropractic with as many people as possible so they can discover their full potential.

In his spare time, Dr. John loves spending time with his wife, doing outdoor activities like hunting and camping, working on cars, woodworking and home renovation! His favorite quote is from B.J. Palmer: “The power that made the body will heal the body."
