  • For workers with back injuries, those treated by a chiropractor instead of a surgeon or medical doctor lowered their chance of surgery by 41.2 percent
  • According to the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, when low back pain care is initiated by a doctor of chiropractic, there is a 20 percent reduction in cost for treatment
  • A study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, showed that pain-suffering patients treated with spinal manipulation and therapy had significantly greater pain relief results, which lasted longer than a year, than those who were treated with medication
