Patient Success Story: Scoliosis Many people associate scoliosis with kids, but it’s not uncommon for this condition to be present in adults as well. In fact, although it can develop overtime, most cases of adult scoliosis point to a continuation of adolescent scoliosis, meaning a person has probably suffered from the condition for most of their life. But there is hope for this pain, as shown by this Libertyville patient with adult scoliosis who got her life back with chiropractic care.

“I have always been a person who will do my best to defy the odds.”

“I first came to Chiro One after an evaluation at my health club, which resulted in a diagnosis of scoliosis. I had experienced symptoms for years. My neck and shoulders were basically frozen. My posture was getting progressively worse. Most of the winter of 2016, I was homebound due to sciatica in my right leg. I had tried physical therapy for a time, years ago, but I didn’t feel there was a significant change.

When I began intensive corrective chiropractic care with Dr. Tyler, my sciatica was basically non-existent in about 8 weeks. In July, I began corrective care to improve my spine and neck with significant, incredible results to date. Fellow patients here even commented on the dramatic change in my posture.

Patient Success Story: Scoliosis

Chiropractic has changed my life dramatically. I can complete everyday tasks pain-free and with great endurance. I also challenge myself to try new activities. I believe chiropractic is an important part of a healthy lifestyle.

I have always been a person who will do my best to defy the odds. Years ago, I was declared high risk for private medical insurance with the report indicating I would end up in a wheelchair… that bothered me. But I believe that with the exceptional expertise and corrective physical therapy program Dr. Tyler has planned for me, I will be successful and proving that evaluation wrong.”
