“I had been experiencing neck and back pain for years, ever since a brain and spinal surgery I had to correct a Chiari malformation. [A Chiari malformation is a condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal.]
I had accepted that a lot of it was unpreventable, but it seemed to be worsening to the degree that I had to give up volunteer work at my church and other recreational activities. I had at least some degree of discomfort every day. For pain, I generally took over-the-counter pain relievers on a daily basis and I very seldom slept through the night.
I had a very limited prior experience with chiropractic care and it was all before the surgery I ended up having and so it didn’t help much at the time. My surgeons warned me not to have chiropractic care, but [they] really offered no alternatives.
When I met with my Chiro One doc after X-rays, they showed me and explained to me the condition my neck and spine were in as a result of the surgery. They assured me that Chiro One had methods and expertise to offer some correction through stretching and adjustments and were confident that the quality of my life would improve.
It has been several months now and my range of movement has dramatically increased. I am able to easily reach into the back seat of my car, blow dry my hair and do other ordinary things that had become impossible for me. The tightness I have always felt across my back is virtually gone, and I no longer struggle to keep my posture straight and upright. I feel looser and easier in my movements. My doctor and the staff have explained all the treatments to me along the way so I can easily imagine how each one is helping my body to get into better alignment. I really appreciate finding relief in something that requires no medication, and very little, if any, discomfort.
This has been a good decision and a great experience.”
