This is a story of how I found chiropractic, or better put, how chiropractic found me. When I was 18 yrs old, I was in a car accident where my car hydroplaned and hit a telephone pole. The momentum of the car projected the pole into the car, and it hit me directly in the head... I was in a coma instantly; six days in my coma, I died; two days later, I woke. I was paralyzed on the whole right side of my body. My family and I were told that I would be a “vegetable” for the rest of my life and to plan for long-term care.
My mom researched about other avenues of treatment, when she came across chiropractic. Up to this point, nobody had had any experience with chiropractic. The chiropractor began adjusting me pretty regularly, and a week later, I was on the parallel bars retraining how to walk, my right side came back to me, and all my faculties came back to me. It took 2 months to leave that rehab facility, when most people live and die in that place.
Needless to say, chiropratic saved my life and has blessed me with the opportunity to save the lives of countless others as a chiropractor.
