Chiros Care Running Team runs to raise funds for Free Clinic at 13.1 Chicago Half Marathon
Oak Brook, IL – June 8, 2011–In an effort to raise funds to continue offering chiropractic care to the homeless population of Chicago, the Chiros Care Running Team recently ran in the 3rd Annual 13.1 Chicago Half Marathon held on June 4th in Chicago. The participants endured extreme heat conditions and raised over $5,000 to support this worthy cause. The Chiros Care running team included 63 runners/walkers, 22 staff volunteers and was sponsored by Footlevelers who gave $1,000, an anonymous donor, and by TLK Marketing who printed the Chiros Care Running Team T-shirts.

Willie Edwards Sr. and son Willie Aaron Edwards, 14, visited the Chiro One booth to test their balance and weight distribution by stepping on bilateral scales. When an imbalance is found, chiropractic staff said it could indicate spine misalignment. The father and son, who live in Robbins, found out their balance was a bit off, and learned they could follow-up privately with X-rays and possibly physical therapy.
