A Richmond Chiropractor born in the quintessential New England town of Danbury, Connecticut, Dr. David O’Dell, D.C. is proud to serve as Chiropractic Director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Richmond where he currently resides.
Dr. David O'Dell, D.C. earned his Bachelors of Art (B.A.) Degree in Theatre from Western Connecticut State University and his Bachelors of Science (B.S.) Degrees in Anatomy and Health Sciences at Parker College of Chiropractic where he also later received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree.
A Richmond Chiropractor, O'Dell is committed to serving as many patients as possible in his life and to educating his community about the healing power of Chiropractic.
O'Dell's life was forever changed by Chiropractic when he was involved in a serious car accident. O'Dell was scheduled for spinal surgery but had concerns about the risks and was afraid of the outcome. Against the advice of his medical doctors and his family that was full of medical doctors, O'Dell opted to see a Chiropractor instead. In 6 months, not only did he avoid risky spinal surgery, but O'Dell was healthier than he had ever been. O'Dell credits his Chiropractic care with equipping him to be able to work as a boom operator which required him to hold a 16 ft pole over his head all day during his 12 year career and he knew that he would someday become a Chiropractor. Because of his experience, O'Dell quit his promising career as a 3-time Emmy nominated boom operator and started his journey to becoming a Chiropractor.
O'Dell enjoys a variety of pastimes including gardening, rollerblading and hiking and he lives by the credo, “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in a proper diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease,” quoting Thomas Edison.
O'Dell relocated to Richmond to get away from what he calls, “the craziness of big-city life,” and to be able to have a few acres to have some space, enjoy the outdoors and raise his own vegetable garden like he did as a child with his grandparents.
