Originally from State Line, MS, Dr. Nicholas Leverette, D.C. is now proud to call Lexington, Kentucky home. Serving as Chiropractic Director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Hamburg, Leverette is excited to share the healing power of Chiropractic with the Lexington, KY community and he looks forward to helping families and individuals discover the full health potential.
Leverette became a Chiropractor because of the results he achieved following a football injury. Leverette originally had pursued a career in Orthopedic Surgery, however, while playing a game of football, he broke both ankles, was unable to walk for several months, and his life was forever changed. He was in severe, daily pain for nine months after the injury and received no help from the medical community.
Searching for relief from his injury, Leverette went to his father’s Chiropractor and after six months of care, Leverette was pain-free and off all pain medications. This was the moment Leverette realized that, "the power that made the body, in fact, heals the body" and it was through this life-changing experience that Leverette was inspired to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Nicholas Leverette, D.C. graduated from MS State University with a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Biological Sciences. Following his undergraduate work, Leverette attended Parker College of Chiropractic where he achieved his Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree as well as his Bachelors of Human Anatomy and Bachelors of Health and Wellness degrees.
Leverette is a true outdoor enthusiast. In his time away from his work, he enjoys hiking with his wife, Missy and his son, Noah. Traveling and enjoying his family are Leverette's favorite hobbies.
Dr. Nicholas Leverette, D.C. proudly holds the Holmes Cultural Diversity Award for Academic Excellence from MS State.
Leverette lives by the credo, “As I grow older part of my emotional survival plan must be to actively seek inspiration instead of passively waiting for it to find me,” quoting Bebe Moore Campbell.
