Dr. Melanie Cannady
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Melanie Cannady is a Wheaton Chiropractor who is proud to call Wheaton home. Dr. Melanie serves as Clinic Director of Chiro One Wellness Center of Wheaton and it was Dr. Melanie’s family experience that led her to chiropractic. Her mother had back problems and could not stand up straight or walk without pain. Her mother’s medical physicians told her she was just getting old and they put her on pain medication to cover the symptoms. They didn’t look for the cause of her pain. Dr. Melanie didn’t want to see her mother lose her quality of life so she took her to a chiropractor. He changed her mother’s life without the use of drugs/surgery. He found the cause of her discomfort and relieved her pain through chiropractic adjustments. Her quality of life increased and she was able to walk, bike and dance again. This experience led Dr. Melanie to become a chiropractor.
As a Wheaton Chiropractor, it is Dr. Melanie's hope that others would not lose their quality of life and her goal to promote a belief in natural health.
Dr. Melanie completed her Bachelor of Biological Sciences from UIC and her Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences from National Univ. of Health Sciences. Dr. Melanie received her Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine from NUHS and holds a CPR certification, PT certification, Clinical Laboratory and X-ray certification.
Dr. Melanie enjoys animals, traveling, watching movies, and attending exotic and performance car shows.
Dr. Melanie lives by the following credo “Where ever you go, go with all your heart,” -Confucius and “Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
Dr. Melanie's charitable endeavors include Skate for Project VIDA, Relay for Life, Salvation Army Clothing Drive, Alzheimer’s Walk Glass Slipper Project, Boys and Girls Club and Rush Memorial Hospital’s Dept. of Volunteer Services in Chicago.
