Dr. Jasmina Patel, D.C.
Born in the motherland of India and raised in the United States, Dr. Jasmina Patel, D.C. currently resides in Chicago and proudly serves as Chiropractic Director of Chiro One Wellness Center of The Loop 2. Patel is dedicated to serving her community and she looks forward to sharing the healing power of Chiropractic with as many families as possible.
Dr. Jasmina Patel, D.C. pursued undergraduate studies at Clark University in Massachusetts, where their motto is “challenge convention,” earning her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in Molecular Biology and was a TA for Vertebrate Anatomy. Patel continued her studies with Post Bach work at Harvard Extension School in Cambridge, MA and during this time, was selected to be an International Ambassador in Chennai, India for Unite for Sight, a non-profit organization featured on PBS for empowering communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. This trip changed Patel’s views on health care options and inspired her to pursue a career in Chiropractic.
Patel continued her studies at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) where she obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) Degree. While attending SCUHS, Patel served as Vice President of “Healing Hands For Humanity” where she organized mission trips to Tecate and Tejuana Mexico. Patel also helped organize the “Have a Heart” campaign for Oklahaven’s Childrens’ Chiropractic Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to making sick children well using a natural, drug-free Chiropractic approach. Patel continued her work by serving as student VP for ICA (International Chiropractic Association), with Clinical Rotations at Dream Center, a non-profit social outreach service in LA providing Chiropractic care, CSULA Health Center, as Spinal Health Educator for NBC's "Healthy Living Expo" 2010 & 2011 and she was invited to and participated in Yale University's "Global Health Innovation Conference."
Patel believes “service to others is the rent we pay for our room here on earth,” and has actively played a role in serving as an educator and activist to various community outreach programs. A humanitarian at heart, Patel’s charitable efforts include providing care for the “Long Beach Substance Abuse Foundation” and mentoring for “You, Inc.,” (Youth Opportunities Upheld) in Worcestor, MA, as well as teaching English and Communication Skills for High School Health Careers Program at U-Mass Medical School. Patel also served as an Ambassador Volunteer at Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Children’s Hospital.
Having battled borderline Lupus herself, Patel is dedicated to every human being discovering their full optimum function through Chiropractic care, proper nutrition and exercise. Patel strives to educate as many families as possible and is certified in Thompson Technique, SOT (Sacro-Occitpital Technique), and Applied Kinseo taping. Patel has also completed post-grad work as a Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner and in Strength & Conditioning. Patel's purpose is to, "Help others discover the vitality of their own health via Chiropractic care and love (limitless offerings of vital energy) for the mind and body."
An avid reader, Patel enjoys spoken word poetry, music, and enjoys activities that allow her to commune with nature such as running, hiking and kyaking.
“It is through the eclectic experience ranging from the allopathic medical world I was led in a path to discover the science of human wellness in Chiropractic and vitality within my own health,” states Patel.
