Dr. Katrina Ordóñez, D.C.
Originally from “Sunny” Southern California, Dr. Katrina Ordóñez, D.C. is a River North Chiropractor and is now proud to call Chicago home. Ordóñez serves as Chiropractic Director of Chiro One Wellness Center of River North and she looks forward to sharing the healing power of Chiropractic with the Chicagoland community.
Ordóñez pursued undergraduate studies at Scuola de Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, Italy and the Sorbonne University in Paris, France where she studied Italian, French and art. Ordóñez also attended Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California where she received her A.A. Degree at the University of La Verne in La Verne California where she studied biology and chemistry. As a part of her studies in La Verne, Ordóñez joined a group of students, professors and native researchers in studying plants, insects and animals in the Rainforest and the Galapagos Islands.
Ordóñez later attended Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, CA where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) Degree.
A River North Chiropractor, Ordóñez studied acupuncture and oriental medicine for three years and is a practicing Vegan. Ordóñez enjoys cooking vegan food, Bikram and Core Based Yoga, and working out. She also enjoys traveling the world, learning to cook different cultures’ foods and learning foreign languages. Ordóñez traveled around the world for a year with a backpack and a mission to see, taste and learn about the world.
Ordóñez was the Captain of her Women’s Soccer team at the University of La Verne and played on the Women’s Mexican National Soccer Team in the summer of 2002 where she was sidelined due to an ACL tear in her knee. Her journey to become a Chiropractor was born out of her experience and desire to help others achieve their dreams and goals.
Ordóñez's charitable endeavors include providing free chiropractic care at the “Being Alive” HIV/AIDS Center, providing free care at the Homeless and Half-Way Home Center and Senior Citizen Center and traveling to provide free chiropractic and acupuncture care to the people of Mexico.
Ordóñez's mission is "to heal and educate people globally to a healthier lifestyle through compassion and service to all living things." She lives by the philosophy, "Be the Change you want to see in the World," quoting Mahatma Ghandi.
