Chiro One Wellness Centers have been serving the Midwest since 1992. They were founded for the sole purpose of educating, treating and coaching families and individuals in how to lead an extraordinary life of health and wellness.

Executive Team

	Chief Executive Officer – Dr. Stuart Bernsen Dr. Stuart Bernsen, CEO and founding partner of Chiro One Wellness Centers LLC, has led the explosive growth of one of the fastest growing chiropractic organization in the world. Growing from one practice to seven from 1992 – 2006, less than five years later, through mergers, acquisitions and organic growth it has grown to over $45 million in revenue. Recently ranked ninth on Crain’s Chicago Business 2011 Fast Fifty list and eighth in 2010 for the fastest growing businesses in Chicago, with 75 centers in operation throughout Illinois, Kentucky and Texas, COWC is positioned to be one of the largest wellness organizations in the world. In addition to being named the 2007 International Chiropractor of the Year, 2011 Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame member, 2011 & 2012 Finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Midwest Competition; Dr. Bernsen is a published author, on the extension faculty of three graduate schools, and a nationally sought after speaker. He is one of our Nation’s preeminent visionaries in the field of health and wellness.
	Chief Operating Officer – Dr. Sam Wang Dr. Wang attended The University of Iowa where he initially intended to pursue a career in medicine. During his second year in school he suffered a personal injury due to a motor vehicle accident which led him to discovery chiropractic. After completion of his Bachelor’s of Science degree, Dr. Wang attended the prestigious Sherman College of Chiropractic located in Spartanburg, SC where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree with honors. Dr. Wang continued to further his training by attaining multiple board certifications in different techniques and specialties. He holds board certifications as an atlas orthogonist, as well as an independent medical examiner. Dr. Wang is a member with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, International Chiropractic Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society and Naperville School Dist. #203 Medical Advisory board. He is a founding partner of Chiro One Wellness Centers.
	Chief Culture Officer – Brett Penager Brett Penager is the CCO and a founding partner of Chiro One Wellness Centers LLC. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison he has a varied background as a world class coach, businessman and marketing maestro and is an accomplished entrepreneur and author with over two decades of extraordinary success. as a Coach he has developed Champions at every level of accomplishment from State, National, World, and Olympic athletes, built a flagship Coaching Education Program for the United States Olympic Committee authored a national bestseller. As a businessman he has been a founding partner and leader in developing three multi-million dollar companies, sits on numerous National boards and is a passionate philanthropist. Born and raised in the great state of Ohio, he now calls Chicago home.
	Chief Quality Officer– Dr. Gary Roeben Originally from the shores of New Jersey, Dr. Gary Roeben graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and additionally became a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist. As the Director of Marketing, Dr. Roeben is a renowned speaker and health educator, spreading the message of Health and Wellness to school districts, businesses and organizations throughout Greater Chicago. He is a founding partner of Chiro One Wellness Centers.
	Executive Director of Clinical Operations – Dr. Mark Lagerkvist Having achieved excellence as an elite athlete, Chiropractor and businessman, Dr. Mark Lagerkvist is committed to others success. A Palmer University graduate, he serves as the Executive Director of Clinical Operations of Chiro One Wellness Centers. Having built one of the largest private practices in the world, he is a published author (“Chicken Soup for the Chiropractic Soul”, “World’s Greatest Health Secrets Revealed”) and founding partner of COWC.
	Chief Learning Officer – Dr. Brian Rutecki Earning his undergraduate degree from Penn State University, Dr. Brian Rutecki went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in addition to becoming a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist. Dr. Rutecki is a leader in the field of wellness education and as a Chiro One Wellness Center Director went from 0 to 500pv/wk in only 17 weeks! As a result, he is the recipient of numerous achievement awards. He is a founding partner of Chiro One Wellness Centers.
