Old Town Reviews

I have been a patient at OldTown for almost 4 years. Dr. Kevin's adjustments are very beneficial, and the staff is always courteous, warm and professional. The office could sometimes use a second chiropractor, however, because at peak times there can be
up to 8 or 10 people waiting to be adjusted. Because my typical visit takes 35-45 minutes, I plan my schedule accordingly. If that time is extended by 15-30 minutes because of backup, I often have to leave without an adjustment. That is frustrating because
I have already made time to come, but I have a schedule to keep. This is my only complaint.

My right leg which was 1/2" shorter. Now is the same as my left leg. My abdominal stomach distress caused by hiatal hernia decreased by 57%. Dr. Kevin and staff are wonderful...very positive and upbeat, holistic therapy, combined with chiropractic, is
the way to go.

I started chiropractic care because I had increasing neck pain, lower back spasms; chronic Bursitis/ Right shoulder. Now my neck discomfort is considerably less; marked improvement in right shoulder and lower back much stronger.

All the side benefits have been good side effects. I just have been feeling better and healthier throughout the time I have been under chiropractic care. This office is a great place to receive Chiropractic care. Dr. K is a great person and so are the
are the staff. I also love the fact that I am always learning something knew, whether its about my health or though watching the movies. I just want to say THANK YOU to Dr. Kevin and all the staff. It has been great coming to care at the OldTown location.
ThankYou for the knowledge I have received.

I love coming to ChiroOne. The music is great and if your not in good mood the staff changes that the moment you walk thru the door. They have been helping with my knee and low back pain. No, it's not fixed but it's getting much better.

I did not think about chiropractic care until I heard about it at an expo, then I realized the symptoms I had when it was explained to me. I was always tired after work and had lots of allergies. I also had pain in my hip when I would do certain task at
work. I never had any previous experience with chiropractic care, but I was and always open to something new. I now do not feel tired when I get home from work and have time to spend with my family and enjoy that time. My hip pain also went away and it helps
me out greatly at work.

I have been a patient of theirs for over 2 years now and unless you truly give it a chance, more than likely you'll never fully understand the purpose of chiropractic care and how it differs from conventional medicine. Old Town has developed an establishment
where the patients can have fun, meet people, and most of all LEARN. When some of us go 2-3 times per week it would get pretty boring if you were constantly put in a room by yourself (I probably wouldn't go so much!), which is why all the adjustments and therapies
are done in a group setting. They do this so we can learn from each other by asking questions-more than likely we all have the same kind of questions. I saw a chiropractor before I came to Chiro One and I thought he was great because he took my pain away,
which was only short-lived. Because my only complaint was my low back, that was all he focused on. However, I learned from my X-rays at Chiro One it was much more than that - barely any curve left in my neck, scoliosis, flat feet, uneven hips, etc. I often
wonder if I hadn't come here whether I'd truly know what was wrong with me. Overall, my health has improved significantly. I definitely have my ups and downs, as Dr. Kevin knows all too well, but I would never stop going. My body has adjusted to being screwed
up and sometimes it's painful trying to unscrew the damage and restore the curve in my neck and straighten out my spine. But when I get my xrays and other various tests done on a biannual basis and physically see the major improvements Dr Kevin has pushed
me to make, I know I'm in the best place and would never consider going any where else. You have to have an understanding of how the human body works to understand how chiropractic care can be beneficial, all of which can be learned by going. I applaud those
of you that have come with an open mind and joined the Old Town family. We are a fun bunch of people!!!!

I started coming to Chiro One because I had headaches daily for about 10 years. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was uninformed. I had been to a chiropractor before, but did not go frequent enough to see results. The intensity of my headaches have
decreased significantly! I have not missed any work or activities in months. Now, I have a better attitude! I now feel that I have complete control over my health and that I will be headache free very soon!

Care in all medical professions is varied. I have had accupuncture in the past and thought my father would benefit from chiropractic combined with accupuncture somewhere in Lincoln Square. It was not in a personal but rather a sterile environment (an environment
often consistent with physician's offices). My dad did not wish to continue because it did not help him as much as he wished. He attended two times a week for several weeks but alas no cure. My dad's negative attitude did not help either. I went to Chiro One
mostly as a preventative but did experience occasional pain in my lower back. I also experienced neck and shoulder pain in the recent weeks before coming. I found the environment lively, energetic and the Doctor pleasant. The staff appeared to be doing their
jobs and asked standard questions. I also had a staff person incredulous that I had not been in an auto accident. This being the response because most people have had some fall/injury and often one associated with automobiles. Mine was not an auto but rather
ice-skating long after I stopped at 17! Dr. Kevin examined my findings and left it in my hands. I saw the x-rays. Either I continue in denial of facts or decide to do something...he left it up to me. I started my 3 times a week regiment. My attitude about
whatever I decide to do is one of positive regard--why else would I do what I do???? My results took hold immediately. I slept deliciously the very first night I had an adjustment. I was almost too excited. Does not matter. I know what I am doing is something
positive for my body, my body is thanking me by cooperating and my sense of well-being is being replenished. How many things in life can do that? Not many. I have enjoyed the positive messages that are given. I have enjoyed the interactions with the staff.
I have enjoyed lovely conversations with Dr. Kevin. I walk away every time with a "pep" in my step. My attitude and the adjustment go hand-in-hand. My husband, who tends to disbelieve most reports and takes a defensive approach to most things, was extremely
suspicious of chiropractic. His attitude is protective. Helpful? Not always. He had a neck issue in the few weeks prior to going to Chiro One and wanted relief. I had told him of my positive results and initially , he said he would go when I finished. Huh???
He went at my encouragement. Initially, he stammered and complained because it is his nature to disbelieve. Some people complain and are defensive because they feel vulnerable otherwise. He grumbled for the first two weeks and then stopped. About four weeks
later, out with some friends, he mentioned something about "my chiropractor..." No better complement could he give to Chiro One or Dr. Kevin than to tell his friends about his chiropractor. The folks at Chiro One are wonderful people doing the best job they
can. I appreciate that in human beings. We are all doing what we "believe" is good. When the belief does not match, problems arise.

Dr. Kevin has shown me the importance of not only eating right, but reading food labels as well. So now I have a better understanding of health and wellness. Chiro One OldTown is by far one of the best clinics that COWC has in Illinois. The "Health Party"
atmosphere is one of the biggest difference between OldTown and the rest.

Chiro One is overwhelmingly the best chiropractic experience I have had. I have had chiropractic intermittently throughout my life, as a result of sports injury and car accidents. After you get through the initial exams, I cannot say enough about the care,
the staff, and the treatment. Compared to previous chiropractors I have visited, I get much more care at ChiroOne. Most chiropractors just give you a quick back-crack and send you on your way. ChiroOne encourages you to do neck traction and a variety of stretches
to increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and keep your back/joints from getting mis-aligned. They also give you exercises & stretches to do at home to keep your level of fitness up too, especially if you have a desk job. My treatment is pretty customized.
I have tennis elbow, and most visits I get treatment for my elbow/wrist along with my back. Over the past couple years, the treatment that my wife & I have undergone has been significantly different, with different treatment schedules, exercises, and stretches,
depending on the symptoms we've been suffering. Financially, ChiroOne is good about working with our needs. Our insurance covers only a certain number of visits per year, and ChiroOne works with us after that point to make sure we can still get treated. It
seems that they value keeping us healthy more than trying to squeeze money out of us. Everyone there has been wonderfully friendly and helpful and caring to us--getting an ice pack if you're sore, calling you to check if you need to reschedule or if you're
just running late. As some people noted, the music is loud, but for a 20-something like me, decent music played loudly is preferable to muzak. It gives the whole office a sense of energy & keeps things moving! Overall, I highly recommend ChiroOne. Pros: Great
staff, high quality care, a friendly & open environment. Cons: A bit of an awkward introduction period (that is over after 2 visits)

I originally started coming to COWC because my parent were already going and I was covered under their insurance policy;I fought tooth and nail that's for sure. I did not think I needed chiropractic care. My attitude at first was "I'm not in any pain,
I'm a classically trained dancer. My spine is fine. I do not need a chiropractor." Since then I no longer have allergies, I have more energy, and I know overall that I am healthier than before.

I love the genuine care and interest in the patients. Education and knowledge offered empowers the patients to take ownership of their health. Thank you for giving me the power to get HEALTHY!

After hurting my knee while running I was told by my doctor that I would need surgery and probably never run again. I thought that chiropractic was only for people with severe back pain or scoliosis and other back problems. Now, I can run! I have absolutely
no more pain in my knee. I have since then taken up dance lessons and biking. I can also sleep better, my digestion is improved and my posture is much better.

My back and hips were always hurting didn't know why or what to do. I thought about checking with a chiropractor then my gym was promoting care and I listened to the information and thought I'd check it out. The worst was pain, discomfort, numbness in
legs and hips when sitting. I was ignorant to chiropractic but curious. I came to Chiro One of Old Town and I learned alot from Dr. Kevin and his staff. Everyone here was very nice and treated me as if I was one of their family members. I get the care I need,
no hip pain and I'm enjoying life to the fullest extent.

I was tired of back pain. I was in pain for 3 months before my consultation at Chiro One. The worst was getting out of bed in the morning having to roll out of bed to get up. I tried chiropractic before but I wanted to be fixed right away which I know
takes time. A friend of mine mentioned trying out Chiro One and Old Town was near my work so I came in and everything changed from there. I really enjoy the environment and the education from Dr. Kevin. I strive to be healthier in every aspect of my life.
Thanks to the LADIES OF OLD TOWN, I could not have done it without you.

I started chiropractic care because of unbearable spinal pain. I was in so much pain 24/7 I had stopped functioning. This was my last resort when I walked through the doors of Chiro One of Old Town. Having the pain I was having made me feel that no one
could help until I got my first adjustment from Dr.Kevin, that was the beginning of a difference in my life. I am able to walk without my cane from the first adjustment, shop and do things with my family. I can walk five to seven blocks now. Old Town, rocks!!!

I had a track injury that affected my lombard disks when they slipped out of place I could not walk with this. I had headaches almost daily. I saw a chiropractor previously that did not exercise subluxasive care. As a result I did not entirely trust this
would work. I came to Chiro One and met Dr. Kevin and things have changed tremendously. I learned much more about a true healthy lifestyle and making my health a priority. Everyone at Old Town is so supportive and friendly and I'm so happy I'm still here.

I was seeking an alternative to hip replacement. I've been having severe arthritis in both hips. After a fall 3 years ago, the right hip became very painful - it was bone on bone. Never had chiropractic experience but now I have a wider range of motion
in my right leg. At times I can walk fast and normal. Then again I can feel pain which is a sign of healing since subluxations are cleared and the brain is again connecting with that hip.

I needed to find an alternative to surgery and medication to help my aching body. I had a constant pain in my neck and on my right side. My doctors only prescribed medicine and made me feel like I was going crazy. Previously, I couldn't see how a chiropractor
could help my pain. But since I've been here, I have more energy and my life has returned. I am more active and free of my previous pains.

I had always been curious about the state of my spine since I'm a life-long dancer. I didn't have any major complaints other than occasional mild lower back pain. I also had acute pains in my trapezius muscles, but I didn't associate that pain with spinal
misalignment. Now with chiropratic care, I am more flexible, I have better posture, my pain is greatly reduced and my understanding of my body is so much more deep.

Our current patients were once new patients and the fact that they are still here since their Day 1 really says something about their care and the atmosphere here @Oldtown...we have patients that have had as many as 500 adjustments, HEALTHY EXPERIENCES!
